What are we doing about it?

On our recent Twinning trip to Normandy I turned our Choir song into a poem. It's not exactly the same of course, and the reference to a Tempest is there because they experienced it and it left a big impression - devastating woodland, ripping off shutters, bringing down power and telephone lines.

What Are We Doing?

The Climate is Changing
Temperatures are Soaring
Our Forests are Burning
The Ice is Melting
What are We Doing?

A Tempest is Howling
And Trees are Falling
Insects are Missing
A Loud Trumpet’s Warning
All Nature is Dying

Let’s Make New Laws Now
A Just Economy Now
Get Our Voices Heard Now
It’s Time to Act Now
What are We Doing About It?
