Our Climate Conversation

This wonderful image from the Autonomous Design Group is accompanied by a short text "As we reach a number of climate tipping points, failure to act means locking humanity into extinction. At a growth rate of 3% a year, the economy will double in size after 23 years. This means by the end of the century it will be 10 times bigger than it is now. We must change the system by significantly reducing the amount of work people do; sharing out the necessary labour; and gearing production towards meeting human and ecological needs, rather than the logics of capital."
The message is strongly positive. When we achieve this system change, we will all be living in a rewarding life-affirming way. But it is urgent we make the mental shift as soon as possible, and this website along with many other initiatves, tries to encourage this.
Our Climate Conversation is about people in the community coming together to discuss these ideas and issues because we are most effective supporting eachother rather than working as individuals. If we can get 25% of the population aware and talking about these things then we will make the desired breakthrough.
